Limerick City Gallery of Art programmes a variety of exciting contemporary exhibitions with a large amount of the historic Collection on permanent display, so there is sure to be something exciting for all the family. The gallery welcomes families and is fully accessible to buggies and wheelchairs with a ramp to the front access, wide doorways, a lift and disabled toilet facilities.
Family Days are run monthly by gallery staff and local artists on a voluntary basis. Family Days offer families an opportunity to engage with exhibitions while exploring parent and child creativity together. Family Days are run on Saturdays with a choice of a morning and afternoon session, 11.30 – 1pm or 2 - 3.30pm.
Free events are programmed to complement temporary exhibitions including Adult Master Classes, Talks, Tours and Family Days. All events explore the exhibitions with participants and provide a fuller enjoyment of the gallery.
Please note booking is recommended.
