Culture Night: LYT Performance

Limerick Youth Theatre Perform at LCGA
LCGA are delighted to host an innovative series of short performances by Limerick Youth Theatre as part of Culture Night 2009. Four young performers will respond to the Connolly Cleary interactive installation Plus/Minus. Movement and physical theatre are devised specifically to fit the strong aesthetic of striped projections and the accompanying jazz music of 12345SIX projected simultaneously. The installation is manipulated and choreographed by each performer, leaving behind the remnants of activity.
About LYT :
Limerick Youth Theatre is a two-year training course in theatre and performance arts, funded by the Department of Education, through the Limerick City VEC. LYT have contacts with leading practitioners in Performance, Direction and Design. These professionals are our workshop leaders and directors of our shows. First Years meet for workshops on Saturdays throughout the school year, covering Theatre History, Performance and Production Skills. Second Years work on projects such as film, radio and playwriting. Throughout the year, members attend theatre/arts events at the Belltable and, where possible, work with visiting national and international artists. LYT seeks 16–23 year olds (no experience required) to AUDITION on Saturday 3 October @ 2.00pm - Conradh na Gaeilge,
